What
impressed you most about this book? |
| |
There are
many nice aspects to this compact, easy to hold book for kids. But I would
have to say that the one thing that impressed me the most was the unique
style, yet interesting telling of the story that would be certain to hold
a child’s attention, even at bedtime. The author is dealing with a
familiar subject in a fresh, new way. Due to the strong attention to
graphic design, adults reading this with children would also be greatly
entertained. One can tell that the author and illustrator really thought
out the overall design and layout for this book with young children in
mind. The overall look makes this a great gift product--and a little
different as it can also be thought of as an educational tool. Teachers
are looking for more books like this for the early elementary grades. The
look and feel of the paper and book are very professional so it is above
all, a beautiful looking package. |

If this were
your book what would you do to market it? |
| |
This kind of
book is great to read aloud to children so it is best to try and market it
as directly to
children as possible. The author should write a strong press release
announcing the publication of the title and then contact local school PTA’s
and librarians about speaking engagements. After speaking the author can
sell copies of the book. Due to the fact that, for a self-published book,
the author has done an excellent job in the printing and producing of this
book so it looks and feels much like other books out in the market, this
title should be somewhat easy to get into big chain bookstores. I
certainly think that the author should have an easy time of getting it
into her local bookstores. |
